Our business of the month for November is La Fille Gallery! Home to internationally acclaimed artist Tiffany Marie, La Fille Gallery is an art gallery displaying her concrete carved art, working studio, and event space located at 336 E. Michigan Ave. Tiffany has been making the official ornament of Silver Bells for the past 15 years. Tiffany said that the ornament design is something she thinks about for a few months. In about July/ Aug she comes up with a conceptual idea for this year’s ornament. This year she decided that the red Ruby gem was appropriate for the 40 year anniversary of Silver Bells because the anniversary stone is a ruby. She said that creating these “always take quite a feet to accomplish because every part of it is hand done, We actually have to do touch each ornament 21 -24 different times to accomplish it from the very start to the very box it lays in.”
La Fille Gallery will be open during Silver Bells. They will be open to the public from 5 to 730. They will have musician and songwriter Caitlin Cusack performing on the gallery floor. The gallery will also be launching their wearable art online boutique, have several samples of what is available at the gallery that evening, and will have premade art bags for people to be able to purchase for holiday gifts. Also, guests can check out their vault to the past ornaments that will be for sale for those who do collect their ornaments but are missing a certain year. The vault is open this one night on Friday, Nov 22!
