Volunteers are the heart of Downtown Lansing. They make all of our accomplishments possible — and they have fun doing it too! And when it comes to making his mark, Melik Brown brings his own style, enthusiasm and his love for the 517 to all that he does! Melik has been a downtown partner and Promotions volunteer with DLI assisting with projects such as Winterfest, last year’s city-wide Art Attack! Celebration, Kringle Holiday Market, holiday campaigns and co-op TV ads and more! In addition to volunteering, Melik often can be heard on 92.1 The Stacks promoting all of the activities and new programs taking place in Downtown Lansing as well as across our city. And if that’s not sharing enough of his heart and his time, Melik also has been advocating for projects that are coming to the Capital City that will help Lansing be even more MAGNIFICENT. Please join us in congratulating Melik on being named the Downtown April Volunteer of the Month and thank him for all he does to make our downtown, our city and our region Magnificent!
