Destroy This House: A Night with Author & Publisher Amanda Uhle

Author, Executive Director, & Publisher of McSweeney’s Amanda Uhle joins us to celebrate her recently released memoir “Destroy This House.” Uhle writes of a childhood teeming with instability, vacillating wildly between obscene wealth and financial ruin, including navigating her fashion designer mother’s hoarding and her preacher father’s penchant for maximalism. Hers is a story of creating steadiness amidst turbulence, of finding a way to love and care for her family despite longing to destroy it all.
