Kickoff Pride Flag Raising

The City of Lansing will join Lansing Pride for a flag-raising ceremony to officially kick off Pride Month on June 1, 2026, at 12:00 pm. The ceremony will take place at the flagpole in front of Lansing City Hall, located at 124 W. Michigan Avenue. City officials, community leaders, and members of the public are invited to attend and show their support as we raise the pride flag to celebrate the city’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

The flag-raising marks the beginning of a series of Pride events in Lansing, culminating in the Lansing Pride Festival on Saturday, June 27, in Old Town. Both the flag-raising and the Pride Festival are free and open to all.

As an organization, Lansing Pride’s goal is to bring Lansing’s independent LGBTQIA+ spaces together and foster a sense of love and true belonging.
