Olive Burger Festival

The Olive Burger Festival, the region’s most highly anticipated food event, will occur at Jackson Field in Lansing on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Lansing Foodies is putting on the second annual Olive Burger Festival, featuring more than a dozen of the region’s best olive burgers, live music, and fun activities for the whole family. 

Tickets will be available through Passage Ticketing and can be accessed on the Olive Burger Festival website starting at 10 am on Monday. They are $20 and include food tickets. Prices will go up the week of the event and may be available at the door depending on availability.

In addition to olive burgers, the festival will feature live music, drag performers, celebrated Lanstronauts, an olive burger eating contest, games, and activities for all ages. There will be a kids’ area with bounce houses and face painting. Attendees can also enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine.

“We’re thrilled to host the Olive Burger Festival again,” said Lansing Foodies president, Erin Brains. “This is a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate one of Michigan’s most beloved foods. We have an exciting lineup of vendors and activities planned, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.”

The Olive Burger Festival will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from Noon to 5:00 pm at Jackson Field, located at 505 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912. Lansing Foodies is putting on the Olive Burger Festival thanks to sponsorship from the Community Foundation.

Last year’s event sold out of its 2,500 tickets within 30 minutes of opening. The Michigan Legislature officially recognized the Olive Burger Festival and declared Lansing the Olive Burger Capital of the World. The olive burger eating contest winner competed against legendary eater Joey Chestnut.
