Performers include The Corzo Effect Band, the School of Rock and DJ Metro Melik. Also enjoy the grand opening of Lansing Shuffle’s shuffleboard courts!
River Town Adventures Opening Day: River Town Adventures will open for the season on Friday, May 17. Explore the Capital City by kayak on the Grand River! You can visit them on Friday and Saturday from 12 to 7 p.m.

🎉🏙️🎶 Best of Lansing Festival: Celebrate the Best of Lansing on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with Lansing 5:01, Metro Melik and DLI in Downtown Lansing on Saturday, May 18. Attendees will find everything from artists and creatives to retail shops and restaurants, the influencers, changemakers, and creators that make this community so unique. If you truly #LoveLansing, This is the ultimate celebration for you held at the Michigan Capitol and throughout Michigan’s Downtown.
During the Best of Lansing Festival, head over to Washington Square to enjoy activities and special promotions from over 20 businesses, entertaining buskers and performances from the Riverwalk Theatre! DLI is also hosting eight talented artists to paint windows along Washington Square with the theme of “The Future of Downtown - Where Dreams Come True.” These artists works celebrate the determination and spirit of downtown Lansing businesses. Artists will be painting throughout the day!
🍾🛁🧼 Sylvia’s Sudsery Grand Opening: What better way to celebrate 517 Day than by supporting local businesses? Sylvia’s Sudsery, LLC’s grand opening will be on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at its new location at 223 S. Washington Square. There will be door prizes for the first 50 shoppers, raffles, and more.
🤘🎸🎤 Rock Lansing: Head on over to Adado Park in downtown to for the inaugural Rock Lansing Music Fest to be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Rock Lansing is an outdoor rock music festival that will feature national and regional bands playing on multiple stages, food trucks and more!
