What matters most about this month’s Big Red Ball in downtown Lansing won’t be the goings-on at the inaugural event. Rather, it’s what happens in the city’s center after the event that will have the biggest impact.
The ball, scheduled for Dec. 7 at the historic Atrium Building at 215 S. Washington Square, aims to bring together community and business leaders to support downtown revitalization and raise funds for critical infrastructure and aesthetic improvements there.
“This event is not just a celebration but a statement about the importance of supporting the local businesses and initiatives that are transforming our city,” said event co-host Nikki Thompson Frazier, CEO of Sweet Encounter Bakery and Cafe. “Being part of this event allows me to contribute to the bigger picture of revitalization and to help raise the funds necessary to keep these efforts moving forward. Plus, it’s an opportunity to showcase the amazing people and businesses that make downtown Lansing special.”
