On June 29, more than 5,000 Black girls and women will gather for a big celebration of Black girlhood and joy at the Black Girl Day of Play. The annual event celebrates the joy, freedom, and empowerment of Black women and girls. It brings Black Girlhood culture to life with many activities. These include large games, a Black Girl Art exhibit, interactive installations, and inspiring activities.
On June 28, the first event, “The Journey to Wholeness for Black Women,” will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Lansing. On June 29, there will be the highly anticipated Black Girl Day of Play. This fun-filled event will be held at the Adado Riverfront Park, providing the perfect backdrop for a day of joy and friendship.
As the weekend draws to a close, June 30 will feature the Grit, Glam and Guts Fundraiser. This event will be hosted at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Lansing and promises to be a memorable conclusion to the weekend.
Black Girl Day of Play has partnered with the Downtown Lansing Marriott. They’ll offer discounted rates for those staying in Lansing from June 28th to 30th, during the event weekend.
