Join us for Downtown Lansing Inc.’s (DLI) Volunteer Open House on Thursday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lansing Shuffle to discover how you can get involved.
This isn’t your average info session — it’s a casual, come-as-you-are gathering where you can meet fellow changemakers, enjoy free shuffleboard and refreshments, and find real, actionable ways to support our Downtown community.
You may be thinking, “Why should you attend?”
Well, if you’ve ever thought:

You can drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. There is no formal agenda, just a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You will get to enjoy light refreshments and free shuffleboard while connecting with like-minded people who care about Downtown Lansing. You’ll have the chance to explore volunteer opportunities that align with your passions and schedule, all while discovering how you can make a real impact in Michigan’s Downtown.
There are so many ways for you to get connected and involved in the work that speaks to you most. DLI has four main committees:
- Business Development – Support small businesses and startups
- Design & Public Spaces – Beautify and improve community spaces
- Promotions – Plan and promote events and campaigns
- Organization – Help with outreach, logistics, and behind-the-scenes magic
Everyone who RSVPs and checks in at the event will be entered to win a $25 Downtown Digital Dollars gift card (good at 30+ downtown businesses). Support your favorite spots or try something new — on us! Must RSVP and attend the event to qualify.
