We are excited to feature Capital City Homebrew Supply as the August Business of the Month. Todd Branstner took a trip to England with a friend to visit family, and while he was in London, his friend’s family introduced him to brewing his own beer. Branstner was sent home with a beer making kit and from there his interest peaked. Once he got home to Lansing, he looked in the yellow pages to find a store that could get him started and he never looked back. Todd brewed his first batch of beer in 1986. With a retail background and being an avid home brewer, years later he decided to open Capital City Homebrew Supply. “To share an interest with all kinds of people with different backgrounds is something you don’t see too much these days anymore” said Branster. Capital City Homebrew is doing just that, drawing people from all over to share in a common interest in Downtown Lansing. Capital Homebrew Supply offers all the supplies to get started making your own beer or wine along with supplies for distilling, including bottles, caps, yeast and hops! Start a new hobby at Capital City Homebrew Supply, located at 623 E Michigan Ave, open Monday-Saturday 12pm-6pm.
