Downtown Lansing Inc. celebrated the businesses, volunteers, and community members who make a positive impact on Michigan’s Downtown during its annual Evening of Excellence, held at Jackson Field on September 3rd.
The annual event recognized those who have dedicated their time and service to the continued growth of Downtown Lansing. From new and established businesses to community volunteers, artists and advocates, this year’s honorees represent the collective commitment to make Lansing not just a place, but a destination.
“Evening of Excellence gives us an opportunity to recognize the people who show up every day and invest their time and energy into making Downtown Lansing a better place,” said Cathleen Edgerly, Executive Director of Downtown Lansing Inc. “The progress we see is made possible by people who believe in this community and continue to invest in its future. Celebrating their contributions is one of the most meaningful things we get to do each year.”

The Evening of Excellence highlighted the people and organizations whose work helps support economic growth, strengthen community and create a more vibrant experience for those who live, work and visit downtown. DLI extends its congratulations and appreciation to each of this year’s award recipients as well as the many other businesses, volunteers and community members whose dedication helps move Michigan’s Downtown forward.
