LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - An event years in the making. On Friday, Impression 5 Science Center flipped the switch on the Megawatt exhibit, a partnership with the Consumers Energy Foundation.
The ribbon cutting celebrated the new interactive exhibit in downtown Lansing. It’s a hands-on approach for people of all ages to learn about science and energy.
”This exhibit goes through hydro, solar, wind and combustion energy production. It gets deep into the science technology of engineering and math within those energy productions and allows them to explore at will,” said Impression 5 president Eirk Laarson.
“We are learning more about energy, where does it come from, how does it get to your home, what is the relationship between the energy choices that we make and Michigan’s natural resources, plus it’s just a lot of fun to be here,” said Chris Fultz, VP of Gas Operations at Consumers Energy.
