LANSING, Mich. (News 10) - The Capital Area District Libraries unveiled a Juneteenth window display and student art gallery this afternoon.

The window display is inspired by the theme “Juneteenth is not just a celebration of the past, but a pledge for the future.”

At the downtown library in Lansing, 20 student art pieces inspired by Juneteenth and the meaning behind the day are on display.

Maia Lodise, a recent graduate from Everett High School, said it feels good to see her art on display.
