Carol Walker has always had an affinity for downtown Lansing.
Since she was a young child growing up in Lansing in the late 1940s and ’50s, Walker looked forward to spending time there.
Yet as much as she enjoyed it, downtown was far different in those days. Walker never could have imagined how much the area would change when a baseball team — the Lansing Lugnuts — arrived in the mid-1990s.
