This month, we’re thrilled to highlight All of the Above Hip Hop Academy (AOTA) as our October Business of the Month! AOTA, a unique addition to Downtown Lansing, officially opened its doors in July 2024, at 303 S. Washington Square.
AOTA is a nonprofit organization composed of an impressive team of creatives, including recording artists, DJs, producers, recording engineers, poets, photographers/videographers, break-dancers, and more. As educators and community advocates, AOTA is dedicated to mentoring youth, promoting artistic expression, and serving as a cultural hub for Hip Hop, all with a focus on youth development.
AOTA offers a wide range of classes, workshops, and performance-based experiences that not only nurture local talent but also create valuable opportunities for artistic growth. At AOTA, young people have the chance to learn directly from seasoned Hip Hop professionals who are leaders in their respective fields.
Mark your calendars for AOTA’s second annual Sneaker Gala on October 25th, 2024, at Impression 5 Science Center! This special event will feature performances from AOTA’s talented instructors, students, and even the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Guests will also enjoy delicious catering from Sweet Encounters Bakery, hear powerful stories about AOTA’s impact, and have the chance to bid on custom sneakers in a special auction.
