A new collection of pop-up shops by local small businesses opens this week in downtown Lansing, part of a broader effort to revitalize the area.
Dubbed the Middle Village Micro Market, the pop-up was organized by Downtown Lansing Inc., a nonprofit funded in part by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The group hopes the market acts as an incubator for the six businesses featured there, with an emphasis on those owned by women and people of color.
