LANTERN Small Biz and Element Massage, located in the heart of Downtown Lansing, Michigan, are spearheading an exciting new event to kick off the year: the Snowfolk Showcase. Designed to draw residents and visitors back to Lansing’s downtown area, this unique event promises fun, creativity, and community connection.
From Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to Saturday, February 1, 2025, local businesses in Lansing’s capital area will display their snowfolk creations—crafted from anything but snow. Visitors are encouraged to explore downtown, admire the imaginative displays, and vote for their favorite designs.
“The Snowfolk Showcase is all about bringing the community together in a fun and creative way while shining a spotlight on the amazing businesses that make Downtown Lansing so unique,” said Colton Hughes, event creator and owner of Element Massage. “This event is a chance to brighten up winter, support our local economy, and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of Downtown Lansing.”
How to Participate
Throughout the week, attendees of all ages can vote for their favorite snowfolk displays and revisit participating shops for the grand finale: Snowfolk Showcase Day on February 1, 2025, at 4 PM. The event will feature the announcement of the Snowfolk Showcase winner, exclusive deals, specials, and incentives at many local businesses. Plus, voting enters attendees into a raffle for exciting prizes!
Confirmed participants include Element Massage, Clover Joy Collective, Ornamaloo, Capital Hippie, Grewal Hall, Nubian Jewelry, Uno Deuce, Evergreen Apothecary, and more.
