State government saved millions working from home. That's a problem for downtown Lansing

Companies looking for a new home are in luck — if they want to be in downtown Lansing, anyway.  The pickings are good. That’s unlike 18 months ago, before the pandemic walloped Michigan and few large office spaces were available for lease in the city’s commercial core. “You would have been lucky to have a good option, one good option,” said Eric Rosekrans, Martin Commercial Real Estate senior vice president. “Now, given the state cancelations, you would probably have a dozen or so.”
