If the crane at the Tower on Grand’s build site seems high up, get ready — it’ll be 200 feet higher before Lansing’s tallest skyscraper is done, according to Gentilozzi Real Estate Vice President John Gentilozzi.

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing’s downtown social district welcomed four new businesses Monday after city council unanimously approved an ordinance expanding the area where customers can take alcoholic beverages outside.
The social district allows customers to purchase drinks from participating bars and restaurants and carry them onto sidewalks within designated boundaries. City council worked with Downtown Lansing Inc. to add the new businesses to the program.

Lansing has officially closed the door on 2025. But during that time, more than 50 new eateries opened their doors.
On average, more than one new place a week opened somewhere in the greater Lansing area. Whether it was coffee shops, bakeries, fast food, or sit-down restaurants, 2025 was a pretty spectacular year for openings.
