Living Here

April Letter from the Director

Downtown Lansing Inc. connects businesses, creatives, residents, and leaders to build a more vibrant and thriving future for Michigan’s Downtown. As a volunteer-led organization, the people and places that contribute their time and talents as Downtown Lansing volunteers are vital to make our ongoing projects and programming a reality in Michigan’s Downtown.

Help Beautify Downtown Lansing

We’re excited to continue enhancing the look and feel of Michigan’s Downtown through our Hanging Basket Program.

Local businesses and organizations have the opportunity to sponsor vibrant hanging flower baskets that will be installed throughout the district. These beautiful floral displays help create a welcoming, lively atmosphere for residents, workers, and visitors while adding to the overall charm of our downtown community.

Return of Match on Main Local Business Grants

DLI is pleased to announce the return of Match on Main grants through the State of Michigan. Match on Main is a reimbursement-only grant program administered by the MEDC. Grant funding supports defined, place-based projects that help activate commercial districts, encourage private investment, and strengthen local economies.

Different from some other grant programs, your business does not apply directly to MEDC. DLI applies on your behalf.
